TICKET PRICES AND DISCOUNTS

Ticket prices

Adult ticket: 4,900 HUF
Student and youth ticket (ages 6-26): 2,450 HUF
Senior ticket (ages 62–70, with valid pensioner ID): 2,450 HUF
Adult group ticket (10% discount, groups of over 20): 4,410 HUF
Registration ticket (available for children under 6, visitors aged 70 and over, or visitors with disabilities and one accompanying person): Free of charge


Ticket refunds, exchange


We can only offer ticket refunds or exchanges for another walk in the event of a cancellation of the programme. Refunds or exchanges are possible exclusively if access to the exhibition cannot be provided due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. technical, operational or security reasons), and visitors cannot be admitted at the scheduled time.
Tickets cannot be refunded in cases of incorrect booking, late arrival or non-attendance for any other reason. If the exhibition visit cannot be provided, tickets purchased in person may be refunded at the ticket office. Tickets purchased online will be refunded by InterTicket Ltd by the deadline indicated on the website.

Discounts

To claim any discount, visitors must present valid documentation clearly confirming eligibility (ID card, permit, official document and photo identification where applicable).


50% discount on the adult ticket (4,900 HUF) for EEA citizens

  • a family discount is available to one or two accompanying adults arriving with at least two close relatives under the age of 18
    • the two adults may purchase full-price tickets with a 50% discount. Children aged 6–18 with a valid student card are entitled to a student ticket;
  • citizens of an EEA Member State or holders of a valid student card issued in an EEA Member State (regardless of age);
  • EEA citizens aged between 6 and 26;
  • EEA citizens aged 62–70 or those entitled to a full old-age pension.

The following visitors are entitled to free admission to the exhibition (regardless of nationality)

  • children under the age of 6, accompanied by an adult;
  • visitors with disabilities along with one accompanying person per eligible visitor, upon presentation of:
    • ID issued by the National Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing;
    • ID issued by the Hungarian Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted;
    • ID issued by the National Federation of Associations of Persons with Physical Disabilities;
    • ID issued by the National Association for the Protection of People with Intellectual Disabilities;
    • or other official documentation clearly confirming the disability;
  • to all visitors on Hungary’s national holidays (15 March, 20 August, 23 October);
  • upon presentation of a valid, current-year card entitling the holder to free entry, including
    • ICOM membership card;
    • KKDSZ card, SZAKMA card;
    • licensed tourist guides arriving with a group (20 persons or more);
    • employees of member institutions of the Association of Hungarian Rural Museums, upon presentation of certification or ID issued by their institution.

Free admission is also granted to both Hungarian and international visitors in the following cases:

  • EEA citizens aged 70 and over;
  • Teachers and educators working in public education (EEA citizens), or holders of a valid teacher ID issued in an EEA Member State;
  • Members of nationwide professional public collection organisations with at least 400 members, upon presentation of a valid membership card (Pulszky Society – Hungarian Museum Association; Hungarian Librarians’ Association; Hungarian Archivists’ Association).


For non-photo ID cards listed above, proof of identity must also be presented.
Discounts cannot be combined.
Eligibility for free admission applies to the exhibition only. For related events, the current admission fee must be paid.
