HUNGARIAN SAINTS - photo exhibition

Photo exhibition gathering life, story and portrait of all the Hungarian saints of the past and recent times for the first time in history.

The portrait gallery of Hungarian saints shows the dynastic connections between Hungary and Europe through the saints, who are connecting nations and continents.

The exhibition is open every day from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the circular gallery of the Hotel Citadella.

„BUDAPEST ANNO 1850-1945”

Open-air exhibition in the external side of the fortress in the north, presenting the history of the development of the city in old photos. Entrance is free.

BUNKER-WAX MUSEUM AND EXHIBITION

The air raid shelter, built during the Second World War, is in the heart of the Citadel. The bunker has three floors and an area of 750 m2 with 17 rooms. It houses a wax museum to recall the historic events of the Second World War.

The bunker also houses, the impressive exhibition titled "The Siege of Budapest 1944" with archive photographs, which is organised by the historian Dr. Krisztián Ungváry. The bunker can be visited with a ticket.

Opening hours: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. from 1 May to 30 September and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from 1 October to 30 April. Ticket office: +36 1 279-1964

SAINT GELLÉRT MEMORIAL PARK

An exhibition presenting the life and work of Saint Gellért, the bishop who died as a martyr on Gellért Hill. It can be seen in the glass cases in the fortress yard.

THE HISTORY OF GELLÉRT HILL

An exhibition of local history. It can be seen in the glass cases in the fortress yard.

MILITARY HISTORY EXHIBITION

An open-air exhibition of the Soviet artillery devices that were used in the siege of Budapest, situated outside the fortress walls, on the north-east side of the Citadel. Entrance is free.
